Plans are underway for Youth Summer Camps at Good Neighbors Theatre. First will be the Vocal/Choral Camp for ages 6 – 18/Grades 1 – 12.

The annual music camp program will again be under the direction of Janice Hay Warhurst of Albany, KY, who has been instructor for the music camp since its beginning in 2010.

Dates for the music camp are July 7 – 11 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Registration fee is $70 per student and the registration deadline is July 1. Call Linda at 931-397-1733 to sign-up your child.

The week will include learning music basic theory and selected songs of composer Irving Berlin. Parents and all interested in attending will enjoy a Student Performance Friday, July 11 at 2:00 PM.

The summer drama camps follow beginning with the Youth Workshop for students having completed grades 6 through 12. Dates are July 14 – July 18 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. A Showcase Performance will be held Friday July 18 at 6:30 PM on stage at Good Neighbors Theatre.

The Elementary Workshop for Students having completed grade 1 through grade 5 will be held July 21 – July 25 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 noon. Also on July 21 – July 25 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, the Pre-School Workshop will be held for Children four years old through Kindergarten.

A Showcase Performance: Friday, July 25, 2014 at 6:30 PM will be performed by students in both camps.

Registration for the Drama camps are: $60.00 for Youth and Elementary Camps and $20.00 for Pre-School Camp.

Deadline is July 1. The drama camps are led by: Melva Nunnery (931-445-4271) and Amanda Hatfield (270-952-8093), both of whom have extensive training and backgrounds in theater.
