The campout opened with a campfire on Friday night, where the Scouts performed skits. Scouts had the opportunity to participate in a variety of hands-on activities throughout the day on Saturday, including: hiking, fishing, archery, BB gun, slingshot, geocaching, sand art, bicycle safety, building a birdhouse, making a neckerchief slide, creating a first aid kit, using a map and compass, flag folding, and Pinewood Derby racing. There was a display of military vehicles, as well as a helicopter, police car, and fire truck. Student volunteers from the Raptor Club of the Liberty Nature Center also visited with several rescued birds, including owls and hawks. On Saturday afternoon, all campers participated in the Lake Cumberland Cleanup. At the campfire on Saturday night, Scouts witnessed an American flag retirement ceremony.
