4-H Shooting Sports competes in state shoot

Members of the Clinton County 4-H Shooting Sports Club competed in the 4-H State Shoot held September 13-14 in Berea and Wilmore. Members participated in 22 Sport Rifle, 22 Pistol, and Trap disciplines. Members include (left to right) Travis Gilbert, Jared Upchurch, Dawson Waid, Zachary Glover, Bryson Starns, and Chase Claborn. Trap team members received 2nd place in the 15-18 age group during the state competition. Travis Gilbert was also recognized with 2nd place individual honors in Division 1 Shotgun. A special thanks to this year’s 4-H Shooting Sports Club coaches Jeff Upchurch and Donnie Upchurch for their time and dedication. Thanks to the parents and volunteers involved in making this year a success as well. Congratulations to all on an outstanding year!
