James “Cook” Parrigin

, 87, Bowling Green, Kentucky and a native of Albany, passed away Saturday, October 29 at Greenview Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Ethie Cook and James W. Parrigin and was also preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Moody Parrigin and two brothers, Glenn David and Harold Parrigin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and attended Eastwood Baptist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Paula (Jim) Kirkwood, Bowling Green, KY; Judy (Randy) Calvanelli, Orlando, FL; a son, Lyle (Sue) Parrigin, Bowling Green, KY; five grandchildren, Tiffany Fenlon, Jeremy Allen, Lindsey and Brittany Calvanelli and Lyle James Parrigin; two great-grandchildren, Payton Allen and Aniston Fenlon. Also a niece and two nephews, including Harold Wayne Parrigin of Albany.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel in Bowling Green.
