Everet P. Smith, 73, Duvall Valley Rd., Albany, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at his residence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, member of Duvall Valley United Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Smith and three sisters, Eva Dean Savage, Genevivie Guinn and Hazel Guffey.

He is survived by his wife, Norene Smith; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Mark Russell; a son and daughter-in-law, Freddy and Lisa Smith; three sisters, Ruth Denney, Sue Lee and Faye Lee; two brothers, Lonnie and Jimmy Smith and two grandchildren, Marcus Russell and Crystal Smith, all of Albany.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Jeff Lee, Bro. Tony Bolling, Bro. Shane Smith and Bro. Mike Rigney officiating. Final resting place in Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
