Tammy, Brad, and Tori Franklin traveled with the Clinton County News to ‘The Big Island’, Hawaii. The picture was taken beside a steam vent of the world’s largest active volcano on Mountain Mauna Loa. Mauna Loa is the world’s largest mountain. This volcano has been known to erupt at least 18 times in the past 100 years. The lava flowing from the volcano is causing the island to continue to grow. Since 1983 the island has grown about 75 acres. ‘The Big Island’ is the only Hawaiian island to continue to be growing. A very educational and enjoyable trip!
