Clinton Middle School Academic Team is 46th District Governor’s Cup champion

The Middle School Academic Team participated in District Governor’s Cup Competition on Tuesday, January 15 and 22. The competition consisted of Clinton, Cumberland, Metcalfe, Monroe, and Russell Counties. Clinton County placed 1st in the overall standings with the Quick Recall team earning 1st place and the FPS team earning 2nd place. Several students also placed in Written Assessment. Those students were: Zach McFall (1st in Arts & Humanities and 2nd in Math), Frank Zheng (3rd in Math), Jared Upchurch (2nd in Social Studies), Noah Stockton (1st in Science and 4th in Social Studies), Mary Willen Cross (5th in Social Studies), Jessica Criswell (2nd in Language Arts), Carly Upchurch (4th in Composition)

The team will participate in Regional Governor’s Cup on January 29th and February 2nd in Taylor County. The FPS Team is coached by Doug Spears. The Quick Recall and Written Assessment Teams are coached by Danielle Hicks.
