Samuel Everett Shelton, 77, KY Hwy. 829, Albany, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Fred and Eva Della Shelton, was a member of Cumberland City United Methodist Church and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley and Alvin Shelton and daughter, Joyce Shelton.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Shelton; his step-mother, Pearl Shelton, both of Albany; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca Shelton, Albany; Debbie and Dewayne Dunagan and Vickie and Wayne Thompson, all of Monticello, KY; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dillard and Bridget Shelton; James and Shannon Shelton; and Jason and Ashley Shelton; five brothers, Glen, Luther, Welby, and Daryl Shelton, all of Albany; Freddie Shelton, Monticello, KY; also 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Stearns and Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Final resting place in Shelton Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
