To the Editor,

One day I realized by mistake. I had formed a bad habit that left me exhausted mentally, physically, and emotionally. Instead of relaxing at sleep time or when I took a break during my day, I worried.

As I looked back at my past worries, I woke up to the fact that worry didn’t help me.

There were times when I worried about things happening, and they didn’t. Other times they did happen, but it wasn’t so awful. I survived much easier than my fears told me I would. In fact, I always feel closer to God when I’m in trouble.

In 1859, Abraham Lincoln described himself as nearly 6’4” tall, weighing around 180 pounds, with dark skin, coarse black hair and grey eyes. Surely everyone in America could identify a picture of him. The outside of him.

Getting this country through the American Civil War with all the states staying in one Union together tended to bring out more of the sadness that all the books about his life tell about. But there was an escape from sadness Lincoln used that also picked up the

Christopher Reeve was a handsome and successful actor enjoying a stable family life with the wife and kids. Life was great. All his ducks were in a row. Then that perfect life suddenly stopped.

He was in a horseback riding competition and was thrown over his horse’s head landing head first. In just seconds the life he knew was over and a new one started.

He was paralyzed from the waist down. He couldn’t even breathe without a machine, but his

A turtle was mugged by a gang of snails. The police came. (They) asked the turtle who did this to him. What all could he tell them about the crime. The turtle answered, “I don’t know! I don’t know! It all happened so fast.”

Jesus Christ had a three-year ministry. I bet you those years went fast for Him. His disciples had a lot to learn and Jesus was their only teacher. They learned as they traveled by foot with Him.

It was about 1938 on a small farm in England. Veterinarian James Harriot was called by a elderly farmer to come look at his elderly cow Blossom. This was the third time another cow sometime in the night had stepped on Blossom’s teats and cut her.

Mr. Dakin barely made a living from six milk cows, a few calves, pigs, and hens. He decided he must send Blossom to Fatstock Market. The very day Mr. Dodson came for Blossom, James was there again working on

“The stones inside your mind might be small, but fight like giants,” says a Christian song. The boy David fought a real living giant with a small stone and a sling shot. His stone hit Goliath in just the right spot to take him down to the ground. That’s where David could defeat Goliath. 1 Samuel 17:35-51.

Some of our giants are sickness, death, loneliness, fear and managing money. God is here for you and me to give us the stones we need to put

It has to be the most wonderful thing that has ever happened. God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to be born into the human race. Following closely behind are the facts that Jesus came to start the good news to spread, and it is for everyone.

No matter the color of your skin, rich or poor, whether you almost have angel wings or a devil’s horn. God is on your side. God sent Jesus because He wants nobody, nowhere, to be separated from Him at the end of this lifetime.
