Evan Little graduates 2021 Rogers Scholars program

Evan Little, current junior at Clinton County High School, graduated the Rogers Scholars program. Little joined 36 graduates at The Center for Rural Development on Friday, June 11, to cap off the weeklong leadership program held on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College. He is the son of Rodney and Paula Little, of Albany.

Rogers Scholars, The Center’s flagship youth program, was established through the vision of U.S. Congressman Harold “Hal” Rogers (KY-05) that “no young person should have to leave home to find his or her future.”

    Matthew Wells named to Spring 2021 Dean’s List at LMU Law

    Matthew Wells, of Albany, Kentucky (42602), was named to the Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law (LMU Law) Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester.

    Wells is the son of Greg and Renea Wells, of Albany.

    LMU Law Vice President and Dean Matt Lyon announced that 82 students were honored for achieving a grade point average of 3.25 or above while carrying at least a nine-credit-hour course load.

    After 2020 COVID-19 shutdown, fair return features favorites mixed with new events

    The COVID-19 pandemic affected about all aspects of life as we know it during the calendar year 2020, including causing the cancellation of almost all major annual events across the country and including here in Albany and Clinton County.     Chamber fireworks will go ‘BOOM!’

    Clinton County residents and tourists here for the holiday period will once again be treated to a free July 4 celebration fireworks show, coordinated by the Albany- Clinton County Chamber of Commerce.

    Back for another year, the annual fireworks show presented by the Chamber of Commerce will be held on Sunday, July 4, and is set to get underway just at dark, which should be around 8:30 – 9:00 p.m.
