Bulldog Field getting a upgrade
Although it’s still June and the summer heat is burning down, there’s a lot of thinking about and planning for the here-before-you-know-it football season.
In fact, the activity at Bulldog Field has been ongoing for several days now, and there isn’t a uniform in sight.
If all goes as hoped for, Bulldog Field will look the best it’s ever looked when the Dawgs take the field for the first home game of the 2021-22 season on September 17.
A crew was on hand working all last week getting the field ready for a new layer of turf with bluegrass and fescue mixed sod that will hopefully be ready by that outing

McLenon, who is the daughter of Steve and Connie Stearns, of Albany, is a volunteer at the tournament going on this week. She works at the University of California, San Diego, with the Heart Transplant team at that facility.
McLenon will serve as one of the Marshals on the 14th hole during the tournament.
A little summer break for the youngsters
While there will be summer practices, scrimmages and camps to attend, the high school aged athletes will get a little time off for the next few weeks to kick back and enjoy some summer activities.
Organized sports will be on a slower pace for the next several weeks, and even when the aforementioned activities are going on, it will be a much more relaxed, and likely a more fun, pace.
Competitors and friends who witnessed the shot were Mike Tallent, Wayne Stockton, Micky McFall and Bob Bristow. Steve will be glad when 76 Falls Golf Course re-opens soon.
Lady Dawgs have a new boss at the helm
Although no official word has been given yet, reports are than the Lady Bulldogs have a new leader in the head coach’s chair.
Former Bulldog standout player Tim Moons has been named the new Lady Dawgs Head Coach and has immediately begun putting his game plan into works to get the 2021-22 season off and running.

Congrats to the grads, athletes or not
Last weekend was a busy one for certain, both on our highways and our waterways, with the Memorial Day holiday traffic.
Things were also busy at Clinton County High School on Friday evening with the graduation ceremonies for the 2021 graduating class.
Among those graduates were a host of young adults who proudly wore the blue and white uniform of our high school for one or
