AFD squad, officials welcome new truck to Albany Fire Department fleet

The Albany Fire Department joined with member from the Albany City Council and the Clinton County Fiscal Court this past Sunday afternoon to take delivery of the department’s newest truck to its fleet.
Squad members are shown above standing alongside the new truck that arrived at the AFD Headquarters Sunday afternoon.  After inspecting and admiring the newest truck, the crew held a brief prayer, in effect blessing the new piece of equipment before its initial run.
The purchase of the new truck has been a joint effort between the AFD, the Clinton County Fiscal Court, and the Albany City Council.  Members of the City Council on hand are shown in the bottom photo, while Fiscal Court members on hand Sunday are pictured below.                    (Albany Fire Department photos by Ivy Davis)

    Trike-A-Thon nets more than $3,000 for St. Jude

    Preschool students at Early Childhood Center spent most of the morning riding their trikes at Mountain View Park for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
    Those students who participated raised $3,145 as a group, with William Grey raising $800, Walker Vitatoe with $600 and Elise Brewington finished third with $345.

    Clinton man found dead in his home

    A Clinton County man was found dead on April 9, 2024. Carlos Allan Neal, 76, lived on Bell Camp Road in Clinton County, was found dead at his residence.
    According to Coroner Lonnie Scott, preliminary findings indicated Neal passed away of  cardiac arrest.

    Clinton Circuit Court, Grand Jury session results

    Council has first reading on Duvall Water water line project loan
