Evan Little graduates 2021 Rogers Scholars program

Evan Little, current junior at Clinton County High School, graduated the Rogers Scholars program. Little joined 36 graduates at The Center for Rural Development on Friday, June 11, to cap off the weeklong leadership program held on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College. He is the son of Rodney and Paula Little, of Albany.

Rogers Scholars, The Center’s flagship youth program, was established through the vision of U.S. Congressman Harold “Hal” Rogers (KY-05) that “no young person should have to leave home to find his or her future.”

    Matthew Wells named to Spring 2021 Dean’s List at LMU Law

    Matthew Wells, of Albany, Kentucky (42602), was named to the Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law (LMU Law) Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester.

    Wells is the son of Greg and Renea Wells, of Albany.

    LMU Law Vice President and Dean Matt Lyon announced that 82 students were honored for achieving a grade point average of 3.25 or above while carrying at least a nine-credit-hour course load.

    Longest Day of Play is Monday, June 21

    The Clinton County Extension Office is geared up to once again host the Longest Day of Play for all Clinton County children of any age.

    This third annual event will be held Monday, June 21, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Clinton County Extension Office Campus north of Albany on U.S. 127 (across from Hunter’s BBQ)

    McCutchen’s service project places lift chairs in two facilities

    Hospice of Lake Cumberland would like to thank and recognize Autumn McCutchen.

    As an individual service project, Autumn saw the need for a lift chair to be placed in the Hospice suite at The Medical Center at Albany.

    She then took it upon herself to raise money by writing letters to local churches and businesses asking for donations to support her cause.

    Loren Little to attend Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts

    After a tumultuous year that included the first-ever, entirely virtual remote Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) in summer 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts will return to in-person classes this summer at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

Garlin Murl Conner Memorial Highway. Conner, a World War II Veteran, was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in 2018.
