Scramble results

Mother nature was gracious providing a beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon allowing the Twin Lakes Cattle Assn. Cowboy Golf scramble to be a success. Twenty-seven golfers gathered at 76 Falls Country Club for the first annual event to enjoy a day of golf, food, prizes, and fellowship.

Capturing the first place team prize was the group of Bobby Huff, Tray Stewart, Lance Stasser, and Steve Peddicord firing a 17 under par score of 55. Only one stroke behind was the second place team of Wayne Stockton, Clayton Brown, Daniel Hall, Ryan Boils, and Matt Brewington.

Special award winners for the day were: Larry Conner (closest to pin on #2), J.R. Stalcup (closest to pin on #13), Trevor Groce (long drive closest to the line on #7), and Lance Stasser (longest putt on #5). Bobby Huff was also the winner of the putting contest prior to the start of the scramble.

The Twin Lakes Cattle Association would especially like to thank all of the hole sponsors, goodie-bag contributors, and local cattle association members that helped with the day’s activities and food booth. Photos can be found on page 7.

Twin Lakes Association wins first in Division III

The Twin Lakes Cattle Assn. has won first place in the state for increased membership for 2013 in the Kentucky Cattleman’s Assn. With an increase of 41 members during the past 12 months, the local association clearly out-distanced the next closest county of Taylor that had 30 new members. The local cattleman’s group will be recognized with a special award at the annual convention in January, 2014 in Lexington.
