Good Neighbors Theatre production of Eva LeGallienne and Florida Friebus’ adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic, Alice in Wonderland opens this Friday at the GNT Theatre at 8790 Highway 111 in Byrdstown.
Production dates are Friday and Saturday, July 26 and 27 at 7:00 pm, Sunday, July 28 at 2:00 pm, and Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 1, 2, and 3 at 7:00 pm.
The production is under the direction of Daniel Poore and Amanda Hatfield.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (commonly shortened to Alice in Wonderland) was written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll in 1865.
The book has inspired numerous stage, film and television adaptations. Its most recent film version staring Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, and Helena Bonham Carter was released by Walt Disney Pictures in 2010.
The GNT production includes a combination of adults, teens and children. Cast members include Peyton Sheperd, Melva Nunnery, Jennifer Poore, Rhyan Williford, Brett Jones, Maria Pryor, CarolAnn Stockton, Joseph Smith, Piper Cantrell, Ryan Thomas, Amanda Hatfield, Zane Garner, Stephen Poore, Chandler Winningham, Joseph Cross, Tucker Hammock, Jacalyn Crouch, Donovan Hatfield, Aliea Garner, and Danielle Cross.
