Jerry Donald Talbott, 68, formerly of Albany, passed away March 9, 2011 in Harlingen, Texas where he spent the winter months and battled six months of cancer. He was born January 12, 1943 in Akron, Ohio to the late Charlie and Geneva (Matthew) Talbott, the youngest of four sons.
He served in the National Guard and was stationed in Fort Dicks Army base in New Jersey and was a member of Akron Baptist Temple in Akron, Ohio and also attended church in Texas. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Kenneth Talbott.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Darlene (Neumeyer) Talbott, Akron, OH; a son, Brian, a daughter, Renee (John) Mosley, two granddaughters, Alexis and Samantha, one grandson, Jacob Mosley, a sister-in-law, Diane, all of Akron; a sister-in-law, Beth Talbott, New Castle, IN; three sisters, Joann (Gayron) Wallen, Charlene (Jimmy) Guffey and Kathy (Jamie) Taylor, all of Albany; one brother, Howard (Wanda) Talbott, Cleveland, TN; two aunts, Juanita Cowan and Ruby Craig; also three nephews, 11 nieces, cousins and friends.
Memorial services were held in both Texas and Akron, Ohio.
