August 9, 2013 marks a 70-year career in banking for Mr. Keith Radford. On August 9, 1943, Mr. Radford began his banking career with The Bank of Cumberland in Burkesville, Kentucky joining Mr. C.W. Alexander, Jr., Mr. L.A. Miller, and Mr. Kyle Norris.
He served 18 years at The Bank of Cumberland, achieving the office of Cashier. On July 1, 1961, he joined Mr. N.L. Morgan, Jr. and associates at Citizens Bank of Albany in Albany, Kentucky. He served in the role of Cashier and as a member of the Board of Directors.
In 1993, Albany Bancorp, Inc. was formed with Citizens Bank of Albany, the Bancorp’s first community bank. Mr. Radford now serves as a member of the Albany Bancorp, Inc. Board of Directors as well as an emeritus member of the First & Farmers National Bank Board of Directors.
Mr. Radford was born and raised in Cumberland County. He and his wife Mary now reside in Albany, Kentucky. They have one daughter, Beth Radford Gordan, who resides on the eastern shore of Virginia with her husband Judge Croxton Gordan and two sons Christian and John.
When Mr. Radford is asked about his 70 year banking career, he states: “I have been blessed to work with and for some of the finest people of our day. It has been a pleasure. Thank you very much”.

Throughout my banking career, he has shared a wealth of knowledge with me and many others. At age 91 he continues to play an active role and contribute to the betterment of the bank.
