Kentucky State Police Trooper Brian Gibson and Clinton Circuit Clerk staff member Bozie York were first on the scene Monday morning when a vehicle parked on the south side of the courthouse caught on fire. York, who is also a member of the Albany Volunteer Fire Department, managed to unlatch the hood from inside the vehicle, but the extreme heat prevented him from fully opening the hood at first.
Within a few minutes, members of the fire department were on the scene, managing to get the hood open and the fire extinguished.
The driver of the vehicle, Marti Munsey, was arrested at the scene by Gibson, charged with DUI first and lodged in the Clinton County Jail.
