To the Editor,

Dave Ramsey was explaining a plan for how to make the most of all of your family money. He called it the “Hunker Down” plan. You pay fully all bills that go toward keeping a roof over your heads, food in all your stomachs, and a car to take you all where you must go. All else, pay as little as possible.

The aim is to save up as much cash money as you can. This saved money is your security. You have earned this security.

God tells us through His Bible that there is a secure eternity we can have for free. It comes to any of us who accept Jesus as our Savior, who died on the cross for our sins, and then arose and went back to heaven.

2 Corinthians 1:24 ends with, “For by faith ye stand.” Galatians 3:26 tells us “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Jesus Christ.” Faith is the key that unlocks the door so you can have life in heaven some day.

Romans 8:38-39 tells us nothing can “separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Until we get to heaven some day, God sent the Holy Spirit to help us get through this life.

John 14:26 calls the Holy Spirit our comforter. I call Him that voice that speaks to me, gives me advice, tells me when I’ve done good, how to fix it when I’ve done bad. My security for eternity is in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit. Where’s your security?
