Albany and Clinton County residents have a chance to hear first-hand how current events, both in our own backyard, across our nation, and especially recent events abroad, will be dealt with by our own representative in the U.S. Congress.

Congressman Ed Whitfield is scheduled to appear at the Albany Welcome Center this Thursday in an event hosted by the Albany – Clinton County Chamber of Commerce.

Whitfield, who represents Clinton County as a part of his 1st U.S. Congressional District, will be arriving at the Albany Welcome Center at about 11:00 a.m. and is slated to be on hand to talk with those attending for about an hour.

Chamber of Commerce President Willard Johnson told the Clinton County News that Whitfield’s visit Thursday was an event in which the Chamber was extending an invitation to the public and also noted that lunch would be provided.
