According to Burkesville Assistant Police Chief Lawrence Nettles, a Columbia man has been arrested in connection with the August 25 robbery of Jimmy’s Food Mart.

Jason Norris, 32, of Columbia, was apprehended on Friday morning, August 30 by the Columbia Police Department on a Cumberland County warrant for robbery first degree.

Norris allegedly entered Jimmy’s Food Mart on the night of August 25, produced a handgun and demanded money. Nettles said a large amount of cash was stolen.

Norris was lodged in the Adair County Jail.
