William Ben York, 66, Byrdstown, Tennessee and a native of Albany, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at St. Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was the son of the late William Homer and Gladys Marie (Stearns) York, husband of the late Linda Sue (Beaty) York and was also preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Pearl York. He was a member of Red Hill Church of Christ.

He is survived by a daughter, Melinda (Joe) VanMeter, Bradyville, TN; a son, Robby (Michelle) York, Duncan, OK; two sisters, Doris Jones and Dot McClellan, both of Albany; three brothers, Larry York, Byrdstown, TN; Jimmy York, Columbia, KY; Jerry York, Albany; also six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Clark officiating. Final resting place in Red Hill Church of Christ Cemetery. Arrangements made through Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown, Tennessee.
