A body was found by a boat of a suspected missing person on Dale Hollow Lake Monday, October 8. The Pickett County Sheriff’s Department received a call reporting a man missing early Monday morning.

According to the report, a family member of Douglas E. Garrison, 58, of Cookeville, had lost contact Saturday after he was supposed to have been on Dale Hollow Lake.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency was contacted and Garrison’s Carver boat was located around the Willow Grove area. A body of a male who hasn’t been identified was found near the boat.

An investigation is being conducted by TWRA.
