TLFWC to offer boot camp to get in shape
Tired of having no energy? Want to get rid of those extra stubborn pounds? Want to tone your arms, legs, back and abs? Come join us for Jennifer’s Boot Camp at the Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center! Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4- 5pm. The classes entails: weight lifting, cardio, toning and strengthening exercises, circuit training and abdominal exercises. Come join us! concealed carry class
Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center will be hosting a concealed carry/safety class November 16th. The Class is 8 hrs long. Free child identification kits
Free child identification kits will be available Saturday, November 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Byrdstown (Tenn.) Masonic Lodge #496 located at 501 Main Street.
The kit includes fingerprints, dental record form and DNA collection kit. All information is retained by a parent or guardian. Kits are also available for the elderly.
Community blood drive at AES
An Albany community blood drive, sponsored by Albany Elementary School, will be held Wednesday, November 6 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. in AES. All presenting blood and platelet donors will be entered to win one of three $1,000 gift cards to use toward looking and feeling your best. Albany City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting Tuesday, November 5 at 5 p.m. at city hall. The meeting is open to the public.
Adair Homemakers’ Bazaar
The Adair County Extension Homemakers’ Bazaar will be held Saturday, November 23 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the VFW Hall, Fairgrounds Street in Columbia. There will be arts and crafts, holiday decorations, homemade baked goods, jams, jellies, relishes, candies, door prizes, lunch and good fellowship. See you there! CCHS Zombie Apocalypse
The CCHS junior class is raising money to support the senior trip by hosting The Zombie Apocalypse on Friday and Saturday, November 1 and 2 from 5-9 p.m. Basic gear is $5 and includes one gun, six bullets and one life, with extra lives and bullets available. 4th grade and below, 5-6:30 p.m.; 5th-8th grades, 6:30-8 p.m. and 9th grade and up, 8-9 p.m. Concessions will be sold!
