4-H speeches
The Clinton County 4-H staff has been around to all fourth-eighth grade classes this month demonstrating and discussing 4-H Speeches for this year. We have started to promote these early in the event that winter weather keeps us from getting to all school clubs this season. Speeches are open to all youth ages 9-18.
Topics over speeches can be anything of your choice; speeches can be either a topic of your interest, or perhaps a story or event from your life. The time of speeches is limited to three to five minutes.
Depending on the teacher, most speeches are requirements for grades in each grade. If you are not sure of this, this would be something that you discuss with your teacher.
If you are serious about competing against other students/counties in the Speeches category, please let us know and we will do our best to help you with your speech.
Call the Extension office at 387-5404 and ask for Brandon or Linda to schedule an appointment after school, or email brandon.pharis@uky in order to receive help/advice or schedule an appointment.
