Kentucky Tech – Clinton County Area Technology Center’s Office Systems Technology Business Math Class along with their instructor, Mrs. Teresa Giles, ventured to IGA on November 6, 2013, to calculate unit prices on different items.

The students who participated in the exercise are pictured above, left to right, were: Bryan Baumer, Kirsten Groce, Savannah Flowers, Andika Pennycuff, Nicole Ferguson, Alex Beaty, and Seth Daniels.

After going over the class section concerning unit pricing, a field trip was planned for the business math students to go to IGA with a list of items and instructions on how to calculate the unit prices of the items. The students worked individually to get the needed information on the items on their list. After gathering the needed information, the students began their calculations to find the unit prices for their items.
