The evening got started with a dinner prepared by the Boosters Club and with one side of the gym packed with enthusiastic fans, players and cheerleader

After the introductions and a brief floor routine by the 2013-14 cheerleading squad, the Lady Dawgs took the floor for a brief warm up and blue/white scrimmage to give fans a sneak peak at what they can expect this season.

The Lady Bulldogs’ performance pleased the crowd, as the squad, although still considered to be a young group, displayed an obvious level of improvement in terms of ball movement, shooting ability and aggressiveness.

After the Lady Dawgs’ performance, the Bulldogs took the floor. One noticeable difference in this year’s team is the size and strength the Dawgs have put on this summer.

Head coach Todd Messer said he believes this is one of the strongest and most athletic teams he has had in his eight years of coaching at Clinton County High School.

More preseason information can be found elsewhere within this edition with the Big Blue Preview being published this week. The BBP includes player profiles, interviews with both head coaches, as well as photos and coaches’ comments.
