Several people were on hand last Tuesday night at the Clinton County Library to hear a presentation from historian and author Hugh Ridenour centering around Clinton County’s most decorated soldier of World War II, Garlin Murl Conner.

Held in conjunction with last week’s observance of Veteran’s Day, the program detailed Conner’s heroic actions while serving in the U.S. Army during World War II/

In the top photo, Ridenour is shown during the presentation, alongside a service portrait of Conner.

At left, Ridenour spoke prior to the program with Pauline Conner, left, the widow of Garlin Murl Conner. Also pictured is Janie U. Gibson, Clinton County News Historian and Clinton County Library Board Member.
