4-H beekeepers meet
We held our first introductory meeting last Thursday with a good turnout of youth who are interested in starting a beekeeping project. Val Lulaks, as well as other experienced beekeepers, explained the importance and the benefits of beekeeping. If you, or someone you know, are interested in getting established in beekeeping there will be another meeting in January. This meeting is open to youth and adults who are interested in getting started. If you are a 4-H’er who is interested in getting started and could not attend the meeting, please call us at 387-5404 or email us at brandon.pharis@uky.edu
School club update/speeches
Over the past couple of months, we have been in all fourth-eighth grade classrooms discussing speeches. Speeches can be over any topic of your choice, and must be three to five minutes in length. Any youth ages 9-18 can participate in the Speech Competition. We will announce a date/time for the Clinton County Speech Competition at a later time. If you are serious about competing with your speech and want extra help, please let us know and we will arrange an appointment to sit down and work on your speech with you. Good luck 4-H’ers!
