U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, Kentucky’s senior U.S. Senator and the Minority Leader, made a brief stop in Albany Tuesday morning to speak to about 40 people at the Clinton County Hospital. Most of those attending Tuesday were employees at the hospital, along with a handful of local officials.
McConnell used the health care setting to focus on the current controversies surrounding the Affordable Health Care Act, also commonly referred to as Obamacare, saying he and most other Republican lawmakers thought the plan was a bad plan from the beginning. adding he would continue to try and find ways to get the plan halted.
The Senator also made stops at hospitals in Russell Springs and Burkesville Tuesday.
