Free candidate profiles to be published

With the 2014 May primary election season now underway with several candidates seeking nominations for seats in office next year, the Clinton County News will begin offering a one-time only free candidate profile of any candidate who wishes to participate.

The profile, which will include a photo (optional) of the candidate, will be brief and run one time only per candidate. The chance to take advantage of the profile offer will run through January 31, with the last profile(s) being published the first week in Feburary, 2014.

Profiles should be no more than four to five paragraphs in length and include basic information about the candidate, such as brief background, current job/resident status, immediate family information and a short explanation about why each candidate is seeking the office they are running for and what they would bring to the office if elected.

Candidates who prefer not to write their own profile can receive a brief interview and those pre–written profiles are subject to being edited, primarily for content and length. Anyone wishing to have their profile published should contact the Clinton County News to set up a time and date for the photograph and/or interview by calling 387-5144 weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
