Dewey Clyde Abbott, 79, Byrdstown, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Clinton County Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Easter Abbott; a son, Lonnie Abbott; three sisters and four brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Chestalean Abbott, Byrdstown, TN; a son, Jack (Flonnie) Abbott, Albany; a sister, Margaret Hillsboro, CO; a brother, Marshall Abbott; a daughter-in-law, Barb Abbott, both of Byrdstown, TN; three grandchildren, Angie Arnett and Brian and Chris Abbott; seven great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel with final resting place in Parris-Riley Cemetery in Pickett County, Tennessee. Arrangements made through Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown.
