James (J.T.) Telmon Owens, 81, Albany, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, son of the late James Harley and Mertie Edith Thrasher Owens and was also preceded in death by a son, James Dewayne Owens, and a sister, Audrey Beaty.

He is survived by a daughter, Terrisa Owens Wilson; three sisters, Christine Parrigin, Albany; Nita Owens, Nobelsville, IN; Eunice Hartsock, OK; a brother, Earnest Owens, IN; special friends, Ricky and Amy Marcum; also two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Weldon Haddix Funeral Home with Rev. Donald McGill officiating. Final resting place in Caney Branch Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements made through Weldon Haddix Funeral Home of Albany.
