To the Editor,
Job was in a heap of trouble with life and trying to live it. The Bible describes in Job 1 how God had blessed him for all his life. God had complete faith in Job’s feeling for Him.
Satan entered the picture. He argued that Job would soon stop loving God if troubles came to him.
Satan was also favored by God. Read Ezekiel 28:11-19 and Isaiah 14:12-17. He was a cherub angel created by God and placed in Eden. This angel was given beauty and importance in Heaven above all the other angels.
Pride entered into his heart. The angel wanted to be God with all the power and place in Heaven and everywhere. He still wants it. He managed somehow to cause an upset when some of the other angels joined in with his rebellion against God. There was a fight in Heaven.
God had to throw all the angels that were against Him out of Heaven and down to earth. Satan received his name.
Job suffers losing everything except his life and his wife’s life. He’s a man who has used God’s blessings on himself to help others in need. Why do bad things happen to good people? Here come three of Job’s friends. They believe they know.
