Steve Peddicord cited as agriculture leader

Steve Peddicord, a well-known Clinton County farmer and beef producer, was recently recognized for his contributions as an outstanding CountyAgricultural Development Council member for District 5, which includes Clinton County.

Peddicord was recognized and presented with an award during a luncheon at the 2013 Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy (GOAP) Confernence. The award was presented to Peddicord, above center, by GOAP Executive Director Roger Thomas, left, and Agriculture Commissioner James Comer, right.

The awards were presented to outstanding agricultural leaders who have played a role the past two years in helping continue the important initiatives of the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund.

Peddicord is active in a host of local, regional and state agricultural organizations and is the current president of the Twin Lakes Cattlemen’s Association. He is a regular contributor to the Clinton County News with his column, Cattleman’s Corner.
