Drawing for ballot position

Clinton County Clerk Shelia B. Booher would like to announce that the drawing for ballot positions will be Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Clinton County Clerk’s Office.

Project Graduation to meet

Project Graduation will meet Tuesday, January 28 at 6 p.m. at the CCHS cafeteria. All parents and seniors are urged to attend.

Wizards game rescheduled

The Harlem Wizards vs. Albany Shooting Stars basketball game, sponsored by the 2014 senior class, has been rescheduled for April 12, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the CCHS gymnasium. Seniors are selling tickets for the game.

Relay for Life meeting planned

Clinton County Relay For Life will meet on Tuesday, January 28 at 5 p.m. at the Early Childhood Center. All team captains are urged to attend.

Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center is looking to start a home schooler’s gym class

Total Body Toning classes

Total Body Toning–Experience this challenging and dynamic whole body conditioning class. This class utilizes equipment including weights, resistance bands, kettle-bells, Bosu balls and more!! Work your muscles in every way possible in this class designed to build strength, add definition, increase your bone density, and decrease your body fat by increasing lean muscle!! Intro to weight lifting class to be held

The Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center will be hosting an Introduction to Weight Lifting class on January 16 and 17, 2014, at 5 p.m. The class will be taught by Eric Peterson. Peterson is a former Marine and graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. The class will last for one hour and will cover the fundamentals, strategies and techniques that apply to all levels of weight, strength and resistance training.

TLFWC to offer boot camp to get in shape

Tired of having no energy? Want to get rid of those extra stubborn pounds? Want to tone your arms, legs, back and abs? Come join us for Jennifer’s Boot Camp at the Twin Lakes Family Wellness Center! Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4- 5 p.m. The classes entail: weight lifting, cardio, toning and strengthening exercises, circuit training and abdominal exercises. Tai Chi classes now available

VA Rep available 

Veterans and their families seeking benefits in south central Kentucky will now be able to find help and advice at a central location. Gary Jones, the Veterans Benefits Field Representative for Clinton and surrounding counties, will be in Glasgow at 126 E. Public Square, Lower Level, every day except for the first Tuesday, second Monday, second Tuesday, second Thursday and third Monday of each month. Narcotics Anonymous 

Narcotics Anonymous group meets each Monday, Tuesday and Friday nights at 7 p.m. at the Bright Idea Missionary Baptist Church basement in Albany. These meetings are open to anyone wanting to address their drug and alcohol problems.
