Robert William Foster, 76, Albany, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at his residence. He was the son of the late Jess and Alta (Asberry) Foster and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Mellencamp, a grandson, Lee Foster, and a brother, Henry Foster.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Dean (Williams) Foster; a son, Ronnie Foster, both of Albany; four daughters, Carol (Teddy) Hicks, Teresa Foster, Ann (Benny) Smith, all of Albany; Robin (Lonnie) Dishman, Monticello, KY; four sisters, Murlene (Danny) Gibson, Mary Davis, Sue (J.R.) Albertson, and Genevie (Carl) Guffey, all of Albany; also 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Pastor Luther Dishman officiating. Arrangements made through Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany. Online condolences may be made at www.campbell-new.com.
