Dorothy B. (Stearns) Guffey Cross, 77, Albany, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Clinton County Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Lennie and Alta Mae (Dicken) Stearns and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Jean Rains and a sister, Stella Hall.

She is survived by a son, Frankie Guffey, Albany; a daughter, Sue (Sam) DeRossett, Boonville, IN; two brothers, Gearld (Faye) Stearns and Wilburn Stearns, Albany; a sister, Rubenia (Waldon) Asher, Jamestown, KY; also six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 27, 2014 at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Jones officiating. Final resting place in Davis Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements made through Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany. Online condolences may be made at www.campbell-new.com.
