Republican Candidate for Constable – District 3

To my friends and neighbors of Piney woods, Snow, and Seventy Six precincts, who make up our Third District.

Most of you already know me. I am 51 years old, and a resident of the Seventy Six Falls Community.

I have lived and worked here all my life. I am married to Penny Jo Dalton Stearns, and we have two children and one granddaughter.

I am proud to be an American veteran, and a 2003 Graduate from the DOCJT (Department of Criminal Justice Training) Police Academy in Richmond KY.

I am a former Clinton Co. Deputy Sheriff, and I am currently working toward furthering my education in criminal law by attending SCC.

Having worked as a police officer and living here, I know the need for extra patrol. As constable I would continue to maintain and stay updated with Kentucky Law Enforcement in efforts to better serve our community.

I plan to be extra patrol in conjunction with local and state law enforcement, on our roads, around our homes, churches, cemeteries and businesses, the places we need it most.

So I ask now, for your vote in confidence, so that I can work in keeping our district safe.

Johnny Thrasher

Republican Candidate for Jailer

I am Johnny Thrasher, a Republican candidate for Clinton County Jailer.

Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself to the community. I was born and raised in Clinton County. I am married to Betty Collins Thrasher. We have two children, Jeff Thrasher and Karen Thrasher Witham, both of Clinton County, and four grandchildren.

I have served as Clinton County Deputy Jailer for 17 years, under several different jailers. I have the experience, knowledge and wisdom to operate the jail according to code and regulations.

I will run the jail with integrity. I will also treat each and every inmate and their families with the utmost respect as I would my own family.

With my years of training and experience, I feel it makes me the best candidate to serve as jailer for your community and the safety of our community.

I would appreciate your vote and support for Clinton County Jailer in the May 2014 primary election. Thank you for your support and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jerry Hicks

Republican Candidate County Judge/Executive

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

To those of you who may not know me, my name is Jerry Hicks. I am married to Melba Shelley Hicks and we live in the Hogback Community of Clinton County.

I have worked several years as a Certified Heavy Equipment Operator on many roads, buildings and land development sights. I formally owned a small business in Albany and I served as Supervisor for the Clinton County Road Department for four years. I am currently managing a large cattle farm here in the county.

While filling these positions I have dealt with and am familiar with the issues of the citizens of our county. Therefore, these are a few of my concerns: small businesses, agriculture, attracting new jobs to our county and preserving the jobs which are already available.

I am humbly asking for your vote and support. Thank you.

Johnny Shelton

Republican Candidate Magistrate – District 4

I am Johnny W. Shelton. I am currently running for District 4 Magistrate. I am married to Judy Parrigin. We have two daughters, Gina Jones, who is married to Adam Jones, and Deana, who is currently a student at Clinton County High School. We also have two grandchildren, Abby and Nickolas Jones.

Being a common man who was born and raised here in Clinton County, I take pride in our small communities and want to see them prosper. I feel that change is well over due in our community and I hope to be the person who each and every citizen in District 4 can come to when any problems arise, and to be the voice for our community.

I am very thankful for this opportunity and I am asking all residents of the Cave Springs, Neathery, and Highway communities for their vote and support in the upcoming election.
