Lady Dawgs fall to Allen Co. Scottsville

The Clinton County Lady Bulldogs had one game this week, with Russellville cancelling Saturday night’s makeup game.

The Lady Dawgs traveled to Allen County/Scottsville Friday night, but came out on the losing end of the contest, 69-43.

In the first quarter, Allen County had complete control, outscoring the Lady Dawgs 18-9 in the first eight minutes.

Clinton County then started to put the ball in the basket and added 16 points to the board, one more than Allen County, to trail only eight points at halftime, 33-25.

During the third quarter, Allen County came out firing on all cylinders as the Lady Patriots put up 21 points in the period, compared to Clinton County’s nine. The Lady Dawgs trailed by 20 after three, 54-34.

Clinton County never recovered during the final period as Allen County posted 15 points to Clinton County’s nine for a 69-43 victory over the Lady Dawgs.

The Lady Dawgs moved its record to 10-12 on the year.
