Sara Beth Gregory

Republican Candidate for Senate – District 16

Senator Sara Beth Gregory is seeking re-election in the 16th Senatorial District which includes Clinton County.

Gregory was first elected to the seat in December 2012. Prior to that, she served one term in Kentucky’s House of Representatives.

In her capacity as State Senator, Gregory will continue to work on a wide range of issues, such as promoting job creation, fighting against illegal drugs, and working to move forward important projects like the completion of work on Highway 127.

Senator Gregory will also continue working to protect our conservative values. She is 100 percent pro-life, opposed to expanded gambling, strongly supports the right to bear arms, and has cast numerous votes opposing the implementation of Obamacare.

In addition to serving in the Senate, Gregory currently works as an associate attorney with the Carroll and Turner law firm in Monticello.

She attended the University of Kentucky as a National Merit Scholar and graduated summa cum laude. She then attended the University of Kentucky College of Law, where she served on the editorial board of the Kentucky Law Journal and also graduated summa cum laude.

After graduating from law school, she worked a one-year term as a law clerk for Judge Eugene E. Siler, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Senator Gregory’s parents are Conley and Joanna Gregory, who have owned and operated Conley H. Gregory Construction in Monticello for over thirty years.

Gregory is a member of the First Baptist Church of Monticello, serves on the Center for Rural Development Full Board, the Republican Party of Kentucky Executive Committee, the McConnell Center Board of Advisors, the Wayne County Fair and Horse Show Board, and is a member of the Monticello Kiwanis Club.

Richard C. Armstrong

Republican Candidate for County Judge/Executive

My family and I are lifelong residents of Clinton County. My father, the late Gordon Armstrong, was a welder and instructor at the Clinton County Vocational School; my mother, the late Mary Lou Armstrong, was an inspiring woman who also served our community. Their guidance allowed me to use my hands and skills to earn a living and establish a business that has thrived in this community for over 30 years. My wife, Joy, and I, have raised two children of our own, who like many of our young people, have moved away to seek employment and educational opportunities in other areas of the Commonwealth. We have also been blessed with five wonderful grandchildren.

I am running for County Judge/Executive with the goal to create opportunities for our young folk. So if they choose, they too can thrive in this community, enjoy our small town heritage, its natural beauty, its resources, and raise families of their own. I will use my experience as a successful businessman to work with others on a local and state level to implement a plan for growth that everyone can be proud of. As some already know, I am not a politician. What I am is a citizen, a businessman, and a strong voice in our community when we need it.

I, Richard C. Armstrong, ask for your vote for County Judge/Executive for a stronger community and a stronger future.
