Seven members of the CCHS Band recently participated in Western Kentucky University’s 33rd Honor Band Clinic held in Bowling Green. Pictured above, left to right, are Carrie McClellan, Matthew Perdue, Alex Beaty, Christan Smith, Chris Shelton, Daniel Boils and Kaylee Burchett, who auditioned for seats in four prestigious honors bands made up of high school musicians representing 54 high schools in KY, IN, and TN. A culminating concert was performed on the final day of the clinic conducted by nationally-known music educators Jay Dawson of Nashville, TN, Mary Kearth of Juneau, Alaska, Dr. Stan Michalski of Charlotte, NC, and Dr. Daniel Bolongia of Chicago, IL. Congratulations are in order for these fantastic musicians.
