Freida Mae (Mattox) Troxel, 63, McCreary County, Kentucky and formerly of Albany, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late James V. and Irene (Gammon) Mattox and wife of the late Jerry Dean Troxel.

She is survived by a daughter, Freida Irene Troxel; two sons, Jerry D. and William A. Troxel, all of McCreary County; a step-daughter, Beth Banks, Mitchell, IN; a step-son, Jimmy Troxel, Spartansburg, SC; two brothers, George Mattox, Orleans, IN; Jim Mattox, Albany; five sisters, Etta Tuell and Mary Graves, both of Mitchell, IN; Susie Roach, Paoli, IN; Virginia Chaplin, West Baden, IN; Roma Troxel, Albany; a grandson, Jerry Boykin, Albany; also several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Pastors Delbert Jones and Bobby Gregory officiating.
