David Dron Dowdy, 48, Byrdstown, Tennessee and a native of Albany, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Clinton County Hospital in Albany. He was the son of the late Hershel Dowdy and was also preceded in death by a brother, Kirby Dowdy.

He is survived by a son, Dylan Dowdy; mother of his child, Pamela (Benson) Dowdy; two step-children, Alisha and Zachary Simmons, all of Cookeville, TN; his mother, Ora Dowdy; a sister, Ann (Lonza) Reagon; a sister-in-law, Tammy (Teddy) Martin, all of Byrdstown, TN; two brothers, Howard Dowdy, Livingston, TN; Danny (Pauletta) Dowdy, Byrdstown, TN; caregiver, Belinda Davis; special friend, April McGinnis; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Andy Cope and Bro. David Stewart officiating. Final resting place in Edgefield Cemetery. Arrangements made through Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown.
