Vocational students fabricate tools for local police officers

Pictured above from left to right is sheriff’s deputies Howard Barnett and Josh Asberry, Albany Police Chief Ernest Guffey, Albany Police Officer Ricky Marcum, student Lee Sinclair, Sheriff Rick Riddle, Kentucky Tech-Clinton County Area Technology Center Principal Stesha Flowers, Albany Mayor Nicky Smith and teacher Jesse Burchett. Kentucky Tech students fabricated a couple of tools, held by Sinclair and Marcum, and were donated to the Albany Police Department and Sheriff’s Department last week. Marcum said to purchase these items would have cost in excess of 700 dollars. The items were donated free of charge. Those not pictured, but worked on the project were; Kade Fulkerson, Jacob Hamilton, Ronnie Vinson and Kaleb Groce, all of Cumberland County.
