LaCaillade

Virginia Sawyers LaCaillade, 86, New Albany, Indiana and a native of Albany, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Pauline Sawyers, wife of the late David LaCaillade and was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Cross Riddle, a brother Richard Sawyers and a nephew, Michael Aebersold. She was a member of Christ Community Nazarene Church.

She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Frederick and Mary Agnes Sawyers, Albany; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann and Harold Britton and Margaret and Charles Harbin, all of Louisville, KY; Shirley Aebersold, Brandenburg, KY; Gaye and Lynn Campbell, Columbia, S.C.; Charleen Bolton, Lindale, GA; a brother-in-law, Jim Riddle, a sister-in-law, Frances Sawyers, both of Albany; an aunt, Coline Gibson, Louisville, KY; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Talbott Funeral Home with Pastor Michael VanZant officiating. Final resting place in Memorial Hill Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
