Mr. Donell Lewis York, 83, of Columbia, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Kentucky. He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Tuesday, September 2, 1930, the son of Elver and Iva Morrison York. He was of Pentecostal faith and a construction worker for Gaddie Shamrock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Odell York, Jimmy York and Jerry York.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Jane Dyer York of Burkesville, Kentucky; his son and daughter-in-law, Stevie Joe and Marcella York of Columbia, Kentucky; his step-daughters, Teresa Morgan of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Lisa Young of Owensboro, Kentucky; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Lou Bell and William Veatch of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Betty Jo and Butch Wheatley of Campbellsville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Stephanie Brewer and Louis York,; his step-grandchildren, Christie, Joey and Kenny; his great-grandchildren, Emma, Danie, Molly, Sam and Zack; and his step-great-granddaughter, Abby.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 17, 2014 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Don Taylor officiating. Burial was in the White Hill Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
