The Clinton County High School JROTC Bulldog Battalion traveled to North Hardin and John Hardin High Schools, Saturday, March 8, 2014, to compete in the SGM (Ret) Paul C. Gray JROTC Drill/Color Guard/Marksmanship Competition.
The Bulldog Battalion placed 4th out of 17 schools in the Armed Drill. Cadet Captain Candice Cross, below left, won 3rd Place and Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Dakota Melton, below right, won 6th Place, in the Individual Drill Knockout event, out of 125 cadets. Other Bulldog Battalion competitors placing in the Top 25 Knockout Drill Event were: Kristina Huddleston 13th Place, Mary Grider 20th Place, Jacob Thrasher 23rd Place, Dawson Waid 24th Place, and Andy Sexton 25th Place.
The Armed Drill Team was commanded by First Lieutenant Jacob Thrasher. The Unarmed Drill Team was commanded by Cadet Second Lieutenant Kayla Huddleston. The Female Color Guard Team was commanded by Cadet Second Lieutenant Ashley Guffey. The Male/Mixed Color Guard Team was commanded by Cadet Major Felishia Hammond.
