Johnny E. Rains, 62, Albany, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Howard and Ollie Rains and was also preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Rains.

He is survived by his wife, Carol W. Rains, Albany; a daughter, Tammy Ann Rains-Carrender, Monticello, KY; two sons, Johnny Lee Rains, Monticello, KY; Jeffrey L. Rains, Albany; four sisters, Linda Smith, Lilly Tweedy, Patricia Parrigin and Ida Myers; three brothers, Randall, Dexter and Tex Rains, all of Albany; also nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Davis officiating. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
