Bill Pierce, age 73, Hopkins St., Albany, passed away Monday, Aprill 11, 2011, at Clinton County Hospital. He was a long time businessman, operating Pierce’s Grocery for more than 53 years.

He was preceded in death by a grand-daughter, Gina Matthews and one brother, Fulton Pierce.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Pierce, two daughters: Kathy (Phillip) Parrigin and Tyonia (Michael) Sinclair, all of Albany; one brother, Henson (Carol) Pierce, Burkesville, KY; five grandchildren, Rachel Cross, Jarred Parrigin, Joshua Parrigin, Lee Sinclair and Kayla Garmon; six great-grandchildren, Ethan, Trevor, Trey, Jaxon, Rylee and Hunter. He is also survived by three nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. David Dorn and Bro. Steve Sullivan officiating. Burial will be at Peolia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Talbott Funeral Home .

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are suggested to Peolia Cemetery Fund. These may be left at the funeral home.
